A few things to note about my content writing price structure:
I don’t charge copywriting fees per word
When you pay per word for content writing, the writer is a slave to a word count. You’re left with content that is too short or too long, meaning it won’t fit comfortably in your content strategy. Something will be missing – that sizzle, that zing.
Charging a copywriting price per word is a recipe for disaster, because you have no guarantees that the content will fit your needs. For example, if your content is meant to function as SEO content, you eat into your word budget pretty quickly by trying to fit every longtail keyword phrase possible in there.
I don’t charge copywriting rates per hour
When you pay content writing rates per hour, this means that the content writing price you pay is based on the length of time it takes to complete each task. Again, this isn’t a very efficient method, because you either sacrifice quality of work due to lack of time, or your risk budget blow-outs because it takes more time to produce unique and persuasive content.
My content writing services pricing is structured per PRODUCT
I charge per product (eg per blog post, per article etc).
I charge a flat content writing price per product, which means no hidden fees, no word count restrictions and no time constraints.
This is good for you because you are paying a known price for a known outcome.
You pay for a finished product. My blog posts and articles are search engine optimised, which means that your content will attract quality, targeted traffic and enquiries. I also create content that people want to read, engage with, and share.
It’s not just about the content writing price, it’s about the value you receive
Pricetag is just one part of the content writing services equation. You also need to think about the value you will receive.
There are definitely cheaper options out there when it comes to content writing. You can find freelance writers on sites like Upwork who will charge a fraction of the price I do.
However, these cheaper freelancers will use up a lot of your time. You will need to be very specific about what you want from them – tell them exactly what you need, every step of the way.
There is no guarantee that the writing will be unique or persuasive. Google HATES duplicate content and plagiarism, and cheap freelancers are notorious for it.
So if you’re looking for quality content, you’re better off paying a bit more for it.
Creating content for your website is an investment.
Once your content is published, it’s yours forever.
When prospects discover your content and LOVE it, their behaviour on your site tells Google and the search engines that your content is valuable. This means you appear higher in the search engines, which means more people visit your site.
Good quality content increases in value over time.
Unique, persuasive content is the key to getting long-term traffic and leads from qualified prospects.
